Nelson Shapes The Glider PU Surfboard

I worked on this design with Ben from the Glide Surf School in Cromer. Ben wanted something that would work well for all levels of surfer on the east coast in the widest range of conditions. Personally, I’ve surfed this board in 1ft slop up to a solid 4ft, and it continues to surprise me at just how well it handles pretty much any type of wave. It draws lovely long lines, but can still surf pretty vertically if you stand further back on the tail. Smaller sizes suit better surfers well, with bigger sizes being great step down boards for people looking for their first shortboard. I actually can’t get enough of this board, and wish I had made myself one a long time ago. I surf mine with a quad, but if you prefer a more flowy style of surfing then a single fin or 2+1 set up works well with it too.
