Based on the Hawaiian island of Oʻahu, Zak Noyle has traveled the world bringing a truly unique perspective to the art of water photography. Swimming in the heaviest surf conditions, sometimes only inches from the reef, Zak captures dramatic imagery with artful interpretations of the world’s most epic waves and the best surfers and bodysurfers in the world. Zak has gained worldwide respect from his peers but for him, being in the water with his camera when the next big swell rolls through is not a job; it’s a lifestyle, an art, and it’s a passion.

Paepae o Heʻeia is a private non-profit organization dedicated to caring for Heʻeia Fishpond – an ancient Hawaiian fishpond located in Heʻeia Uli, Koʻolaupoko, Oʻahu. Established in 2001 by a group of young Hawaiians, Paepae o Heʻeia works in partnership with landowner, Kamehameha Schools, to manage and maintain Heʻeia Fishpond for the community. Paepae o Heʻeia was established to mālama Heʻeia Fishpond and serve as kiaʻi to this precious resource and treasure.

Paepae o Heʻeia’s vision is to perpetuate a foundation of cultural sustainability for communities (ʻohana) of Hawaiʻi through education. Its mission is to implement values and concepts from the model of a traditional fishpond to provide intellectual, physical, and spiritual sustenance for our community. To reach its vision, Paepae o Heʻeia utilizes the strengths of the fishpond as a place of learning to weave ancestral knowledge together with Western ways of knowing to achieve its goals.

  • 100% Malaysian Rubber - All natural, high quality rubber. The blade provides rigid resistance yet is flexible where required.  There is less drag on the up kick and leg strain and cramps are reduced.
  • Comfortable Foot Pocket - The pocket is silky smooth and soft over the top of the toes and foot to prevent blisters and chafing while the bottom of the pocket is rigid to transmit power to the blade.  Fin socks or booties are not required for comfort.
  • Lightweight - For such a powerful fin, DAFIN is one of the lightest surf fins on the market.  Less weight equals less strain.
  • Extremely powerful - Revolutionary design creating maximum acceleration of the water flowing over the fin surface resulting in more thrust per kick.
  • Maximum Control - At speed the “strakes” generate a vortex of water from the trailing edge forming a barrier to help prevent the outflow of water from around the raised foot pocket resulting in an element of control and maneuverability across the face of a wave or in turbulent water.
  • Can be worn on either foot
  • Floats in salt water
  • Used by the Worlds Best Waterman - Ambassadors include Mark Cunningham (World Champion Bodysurfer), Zak Noyle (Professional Surf Photographer) and Brian Keaulana (World Renowned Hawaiian Waterman)
  • Official fin of the United States Lifesaving Association and Hawaiian Lifeguard Association
